The recently refurbished Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel has three restaurants and a 24-hour Lounge Bar.
The Hilton is located at the NEC, off M42 Junction 6.
If travelling by rail or air please use Birmingham International Rail Station & Airport – the hotel runs a courtesy minibus from both.

Car Parking available at a reduced rate of £6.00 / 24 hours for all cars
Please pay at reception not at the ticket machines outside.
If arriving by car with a wheelchair please drive around to reception and your car can be valet parked by hotel staff.
For entry to the accessible car park you will need to notify the hotel staff at reception on arrival.
Do not lose your car park ticket - £150 charge applies for exit without ticket!!
Check-in: from 3pm - rooms available from 4pm.
Check-out: by 12 noon on day of departure unless late checkout is pre-booked.

Booking Information
To avoid confusion please book via Travel Services as the event agent - not direct with the hotel - Thank you.
Please note that all bookings must now be received by: Thursday 13th October 2011. We only have standard twin rooms remaining for sale. It is possible to use these rooms for wheelchair access, but bathroom access can be somewhat restrictive.
BOOKING STANDARD ACCESS ROOMS ONLY:
For bookings of STANDARD ACCESS ROOMS ONLY THAT DO NOT REQUIRE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS please use the Secure Online Booking Tool (above).
BOOKING ADAPTED 'ACCESSIBLE' ROOMS:
For bookings which include ROOMS REQUIRING WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY please download, complete and send back the Offline Info / Booking Pack (above).
Please indicate on the room list form which rooms need wheelchair access / interconnecting rooms for carers / beds with clearance for a hoist (guest to provide hoist) / special requirements etc.
As with all previous Back Up Ball events, the hotels only have a limited number of specifically adapted accessible rooms. The majority of rooms used for wheelchair access at the Hilton Metropole are standard access bedrooms which are specifically 'adapted' for the night. An option to improve access is to have the bathroom door removed - please indicate on the room list form if your preference is to have the door removed to improve access.
If you require access for two wheelchair users to share one room please telephone Travel Services to discuss this request first. If available / possible at all, then this will be a twin room with two single beds moved end-to-end to give enough floor space. The hotel will decide if this request is acceptable on Health and Safety / Fire Regulation grounds.

CANCELLATIONS:
The date for all reservations to be cancelled without charge is Wednesday 28th September 2010 - after this point all rooms will be charged by the hotel in full. Please notify Travel Services if you are unable to attend the event as it may be possible for us to assist in reducing charges if we can re-sell your room (not guaranteed!).
OTHER INFORMATION:
Availability of accommodation offers expire 1 month prior to the event - further rooms may be possible after this date but availability and rates will be on a request only basis and cannot be guaranteed until accepted by the hotel.
If you have a favourite / preferred hotel that is not listed, or you require extra / alternative dates, please let us know and we will be pleased to investigate options for you.
For security reasons all booking requests may be vetted and verified by the event organisers before the event.
A valid credit card will be required to guarantee all reservations.
